Certified Residential Underwriter (CRU)

The Certified Residential Underwriter (CRU) Specialist Designation is for residential mortgage loan underwriters. It elevates both you and the underwriting field to a higher level of professionalism. In addition to feeling a great sense of personal accomplishment, as a CRU designee you will perform better and bring more value to your company.

The CRU designation is designed to provide targeted training in order to develop specific skill sets. The certification levels are based on your experience and knowledge, recognizing core competencies and providing a structured development path. Each level offers knowledge assessments and specific training on general and advanced guidelines. The CRU designation sets the bar for professional excellence and training in residential mortgage loan underwriting.

CampusMBA is offering the CRU designation through a partnership with Genworth Financial.

Genworth's underwriting courses and content have been implemented into the program curriculum to enhance CampusMBA's current offerings to the real estate finance industry.
