| The Commercial Real Estate Finance (CREF) Achievement Certificate is awarded for demonstrating a fundamental understanding of commercial real estate finance.
Commercial real estate finance includes the mortgage financing of office buildings, shopping centers, apartment buildings, and other property that is utilized for the production of income rather than as residences. If residential real estate has more than four units, it is considered commercial real estate.
